The Oklahoma Senate in its infinite wisdom is really playing to the peanut gallery this time. They have decided to appropriate up to $3 million of our tax dollars to help defend counties that want to erect Ten Commandments statues on their courthouse lawns against possible lawsuits by the evil ACLU. Now granted, the ACLU can also play to the peanut gallery with the best of them.
This money is set aside in case the district attorney of the county doesn’t feel up to the task of defending a Ten Commandments statue on the courthouse lawn against any and all challengers.
